Visit of a global delegation to Iraq

Baghdad International Airport witnessed for the first time in 27 years a visit by a global delegation represented by Mr. David Berg, Public Relations Representative of the World Scout Organization, and Dr. Atef Abdel Meguid, Secretary General of the Arab Scouts Organization. In 1956, a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was appointed at the reception by Mr. Ahmed Abdel Assal, Vice President of the Iraqi Scouts Association (Scout and Girl Guides Council of Iraq), as well as a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Diyala University, was Professor Thaer Rasheed Hassan, Chairman of the Central Technical Committee supervising scouting activities in the ministry.
