The head of the Individual Games Branch exercises the following powers:
1- Hosting external lecturers to deliver lectures on specific topics to undergraduate and graduate students and proposing appropriate rewards in accordance with financial controls.
2- Implementing the decisions of the University Council and the College Council regarding his department.
3- Managing the department or branches from the scientific, administrative, educational, cultural, financial, technical and student affairs aspects.
4- Supervising the teaching processes, teaching methods, and ensuring that faculty members fulfill their duties.
5- Preparing quarterly and annual scientific reports on the activities of the department or branch and submitting them to the dean.
6- Preparing student training programs.
7- Directing university theses according to the country’s development needs.
8- Recommending the appointment of a department rapporteur and his deputy in his absence.
9- Formation of the examination committee in the department.
10- Nominating postgraduate students applying for studies in the department or scientific branches after the approval of the scientific committee and its consistency with the admission controls in force at the university.
11- Recommending adding, deleting, or modifying the curricula prescribed for postgraduate students in a way that leads to enhancing the scientific level and keeping pace with developments, provided that this is accompanied by the approval of the College Council.
12- Presenting research to scientific committees for the purposes of support and promotion.
13- Distributing students to training sites, distributing supervision among department members, and issuing the necessary administrative orders for that.
14- Proposing the issuance of administrative orders regarding university full-time and additional lectures according to the actual need and in accordance with the university regulations in force after the approval of the College Council.
15- Supervising the academic affairs of students at various stages of study.
16- Experts’ proposal to consider academic promotions for department teachers.
17- Assigning any of the teaching staff to carry out teaching tasks as needed, regardless of the context specified for them by other parties.
18- Approval for faculty members to deliver lectures in teaching or study programs for other departments.
19- Approval of the nomination of faculty members to participate in the technical, administrative and scientific committees.
20- Directing inquiries to faculty members in the event of their absence or lateness to lectures and their absence.
21- Chairing the scientific committee in the department.
